Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson

Snow Crash is a novel that mainly predicts our present life. There are so many interesting events happens in this book, including the beginning chapter. The opening chapter talks about an extremely on time pizza delivery in details. It is exactly the situation of our contemporary life. We have a lot of delivery app to get food easily and quickly. We can pick the time we want the food, see the name of who makes our pizza, and delivery status. It is so incredibly for me to imagine how could Neal predict these future things. This is absolutely amazing.

But these unbelievable predictions are not the only reason to make Snow Crash special. In a lot of scientific fiction, the story itself behaves like an omnipotent genius, who prepares everything perfectly to see reactions from readers. However, in Snow Crash, Stephenson put the story and readers on the same level of playing field. It means the author and readers can become insane and fanatic participants together to enjoy the reading experience. There are also some parts make me a little confused, when two characters start to communicate in linguistic mystery. These confusions don’t make me stop, but make feel like chatting with friends in a funny story instead. The experience of interacting with this book is so enjoyable.
