Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake

This is an interesting book. The beginning of the story is so bewildering. Atwood is trying to take readers through using a distorted and non-chronological writing manner throughout the first half of the book. It really makes me confused while reading it because of the disordered timeline and development of story. I spent a lot of time arranging information in my mind. Frequent use horrible elements on the main characters of this book makes it a tense story. The melancholic atmosphere of the failed future dream exists throughout the novel, even in the most common scene. It makes me completely immerse into the world in the story.
Even at the end of the novel, the main elements are only loosely tied up and simply summarized. It leaves a lot of space for readers to consider by themselves even after the story ends. I believe Atwood wants readers to use their brain to truly meditate while reading this story.
In conclusion, Atwood successfully creates a dystopia in this story. She makes dystopia elements into crazier and more horrible plots into Oryx and Crake

In addition, she resonates with readers through making complicated storytelling skills to make them take the story seriously.
